Liv Morgan makes history at WWE Crown Jewel. A massive 10-woman tag main-events WWE NXT. Kris Statlander vs. TBS Champion Mercedes Mone gets announced for AEW Full Gear, and more. Let’s break it down in this week’s episode of Women’s Wrestling Wrap-Up!
Liv Morgan Makes History At WWE Crown Jewel
At WWE Crown Jewel, WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax battled for the right to be named the first-ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.
As expected, Women’s Money in the Bank winner Tiffany Stratton tried to seize this moment by cashing in her contract mid-match. Nia Jax, however, was vehemently against this, so much so that Stratton initially backpedaled. Moments later, Stratton tried to cash-in again, but was stopped by Raquel Rodriguez this time. In the midst of their subsequent argument, Jax took them, along with Liv Morgan, down.
Unfortunately for Jax, her wave of momentum didn’t last too long, as Dominik Mysterio and Rodriguez both interfered, allowing Morgan to hit an Oblivion on Jax for the win. As such, WWE crowned Morgan as the inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. In addition, Morgan received a championship ring to commemorate.
Following her victory, Morgan received congratulations from WWE’s Big E and Jackie Redmond on the Crown Jewel. In response, she reflected on her journey to get to this point.
“It has been a long journey and this has always been my biggest love, and my first love,” Morgan said. “And I’m just really proud, and really honored. I’m happy that I just kept going and didn’t give up. I am at the very top of this women’s division, and I can’t believe it, but I can totally believe it. I’m so happy.”
Looking ahead, Morgan will now defend her WWE Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY. She and Raquel Rodriguez will also challenge Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships/

Massive 10-Woman Tag On WWE NXT
This week’s episode of WWE NXT aired in a special Wednesday night timeslot with a special added theme. As it emanated from the old ECW arena, WWE NXT tied in several figures and elements from Extreme Championship Wrestling’s past. The opening bout between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker brought forth both as former ECW manager Dawn Marie guest refereed their hardcore match.
As expected, Vice and Parker introduced a number of weapons into this hardcore bout, such as ladders, kendo sticks, tables, trash cans, and chairs. In the end, though, it was a brick that sealed the victory for Parker, specifically as she smashed it over the head of Vice and followed up with The Super Hypnotic.
In the show’s main event, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez teamed with Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx) to take on Zaria, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, and former TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. Grace’s team ultimately pulled out the victory, but not without some controversy.
In the match’s final moments, Grace held Perez by the waist. At the same time, Perez managed to kick Zaria away from her. As Zaria charged toward her, Perez then swiftly moved out of the way, causing Zaria to inadvertently spear Grace. In the midst of the confusion, Perez kicked Zaria and looked to set up a Pop Rox. Zaria, however, seemingly had it scouted and countered with an F5 for the win.

Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Moné Announced For AEW Full Gear
On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Kris Statlander pulled out a victory over Kamille, the enforcer of TBS Champion Mercedes Moné. Unhappy with that outcome, Moné hit Statlander from behind, subsequently ordering Kamille to leave the ring. Moments later, Moné declared that when you want something done right, you do it yourself.
Following this series of events, Statlander issued a message to Moné, while also challenging her to a title match at AEW Full Gear.
“I’ve been replaying that moment over and over in my mind, and it really pisses me off. Mercedes, I’m sorry that I crushed your Brickhouse, that I tore up your safety net. But if you’re everything that you say you are, then me coming for your TBS title at Full Gear should be no big deal,” Statlander said in a backstage promo on AEW Collision.
“You walk around here like you’re better than everyone at AEW who put in the work day in and day out. Yet you shield yourself with your entourage as you run away and hide in your private dressing room. You’re afraid because you know that I’m locked in and that the target is you. Be prepared to prove your worth, Mercedes, because last year at Full Gear, I only walked in the TBS Champion. But this year, I’m walking out the new TBS Champion.
AEW President Tony Khan has since confirmed that Moné will defend her TBS Championship against Statlander, a former titleholder, at Full Gear on November 23. As Statlander alluded to, last year’s Full Gear pay-per-view saw her lose the title to Julia Hart. This year, though, she aims to reclaim it.
Elsewhere on AEW Collision, AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May successfully defended her title against “The Queenslayer” Anna Jay.
