Serena Deeb: There’s Nothing Like The Pressure And Excitement Of A PPV Match

Serena Deeb lives for the excitement and spotlight a pay-per-view match offers a wrestler.

The Watch List looks at what matches you should be watching, and they are recommended by today’s professional wrestling stars. WrestleZone spoke with Serena Deeb, who is proud of the two pay-per-view matches she’s had in AEW so far. Despite only having two PPV matches, Deeb has competed for the AEW Women’s World title each time.

Coincidentally, both took place at Double Or Nothing in 2022 and 2024. Not only was Deeb in high-profile matches, but she has plenty of respect for her opponents, too.

“Probably the two pay-per-view matches. It’s crazy to me, [that] in four years, I’ve only wrestled on two pay-per-views. Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm, and those were both in Vegas at Double or Nothing. Which is kind of cool,” she explained.

“I probably place those there because there’s nothing like the pressure and the excitement of a pay-per-view match. Some of the biggest crowds, biggest viewership, and special important matches. So in my mind and in my heart, I would definitely put those two up there,” she added. “And they’re both women that I really respect and I think I’ve had some great matches with both of them. So, yeah those would be the other two.”

In regards to “the other two,” Deeb also named her recent match with Britt Baker as one of the three most important matches of her AEW career.
