Wrestlezone Staff Picks: WWE Fastlane Predictions

The Wrestlezone staff is back to pick the winners of WWE Fastlane. It’s a fun card filled with what should be some exciting matches!

Check out our WWE Fastlane predictions below!

Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: Andrade
  • Tyler Treese: This feud is far from over and I think Vega helps Andrade pick up a dirty win. Pick: Andrade
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: Rey Mysterio
  • John Clark: Pick: Andrade
  • Kevin Kellam: Dusty finish. These two feel Mania bound with their special chemistry. Pick: No Contest
  • Colin Tessier: Giving these two another singles match here is a little surprising; it’d make more sense to hold off until WrestleMania. WWE will probably want to keep the feud going until then, so Rey gets the win here in order to give Andrade a reason to want another chance at ‘Mania Pick: Rey Mysterio

The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) (c) vs. Aleister Black and Ricochet vs. Chad Gable and Bobby Roode (RAW Tag Championship)

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: The Revival
  • Tyler Treese: The Revival has been picking up too many losses, so they’ll look strong here. Pick: The Revival
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: Aleister Black & Ricochet
  • John Clark: Pick: The Revival
  • Kevin Kellam: Could be the sleeper match of the night. The Revival have been getting rolled over recently after winning the Raw tag titles, they scrape out a win. Pick: The Revival
  • Colin Tessier: Since winning the titles, the Revival has lost to DIY and Black/Ricochet. Thanks to Gable/Roode, the champs beat the latter on Raw but, still, the Revival is on a cold streak. Black/Ricochet probably get the belts here to continue their push and set up an even more expansive multi-tag match at ‘Mania. Pick: Aleister Black & Ricochet
  • Iain Chambers: Pick: Roode & Gable

The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection (Bayley and Sasha Banks) (c) vs. Nia Jax and Tamina (Women’s Tag Championship)

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection
  • Tyler Treese: It makes no sense to change the belts here. Pick: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection
  • John Clark: Pick: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection
  • Kevin Kellam: The champs survive to hug another day. Pick: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection
  • Colin Tessier: This is one of the matches on the card where there’s no way the champions lose. Pick: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection
  • Iain Chambers: Pick: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection

The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs. The Miz and Shane McMahon (SmackDown Tag Championship)

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: The Usos
  • Tyler Treese: Picking against my heart here. Pick: The Usos
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: The Usos
  • John Clark: I strongly believe The Miz & Shane McMahon will turn on each other. Pick: The Usos
  • Kevin Kellam: This is less a match and more an angle for a Shane/Miz break-up. Despite being predictable, this is intriguing. Pick: The Usos
  • Colin Tessier: Like the women’s tag match, there’s no way the Usos lose here. The Miz/Shane story would benefit so much more from another loss; it might be enough to accelerate a heel turn, setting up a WrestleMania match between the former teammates. Pick: The Usos
  • Iain Chambers: Pick: Shane McMahon & The Miz

Asuka (c) vs. Mandy Rose (SmackDown Women’s Championship)

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: Asuka
  • Tyler Treese: Mandy isn’t ready for Asuka. Pick: Asuka
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: Asuka
  • John Clark: Pick: Asuka
  • Kevin Kellam: Rose just isn’t there yet. Pick: Asuka
  • Colin Tessier: After an impressive showing in a title defense at the Royal Rumble, Asuka’s screen time has been fairly limited. Still, she could be a dominant champion and Mandy Rose won’t be the one to dethrone her. Pick: Asuka
  • Iain Chambers: Pick: Asuka

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins) vs. Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: The Shield
  • Tyler Treese: Roman isn’t going to lose for a minute. Pick: The Shield
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: The Shield
  • John Clark: Pick: The Shield
  • Kevin Kellam: Feel good vibes continue for Reigns and friends in a win here or maybe some fresh dissension in the tactical vest squad. Pick: The Shield
  • Colin Tessier: It doesn’t seem likely that the latest reunion of the Shield will result in loss to a team led by Baron Corbin. But this is WrestleMania season; anything can happen. Rollins is already busy at the Showcase of the Immortals but Roman Reigns’s schedule looks wide open. Dean Ambrose’s status, both at the show and afterwards, is up in the air. The safe bet is that this match won’t have a clean ending, which will lead to a semi-rematch at ‘Mania, with Braun Strowman possibly filling in for Rollins. Pick: Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley
  • Iain Chambers: Ambrose turns on Roman. Pick: Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: Becky Lynch
  • Tyler Treese: Becky will go to WrestleMania Pick: Becky Lynch
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: Becky Lynch
  • John Clark: Pick: Becky Lynch
  • Kevin Kellam: This match, though not fresh, has a lot of chatter around it with Ronda Rousey’s inflammatory comments and an erratic story. Lynch wins in dusty circumstances. Pick: Becky Lynch
  • Colin Tessier: Becky Lynch is walking out of WrestleMania with the Raw Women’s Championship. Beating Flair at Fastlane is the organic way to make sure the ‘Mania match, whether it’s a singles bout or a triple threat contest, features “The Man.” Pick: Becky Lynch
  • Iain Chambers: Pick: Becky Lynch

Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kevin Owens (WWE Championship

  • Bill Pritchard: Pick: Daniel Bryan
  • Tyler Treese: The people want KofiMania, not KOMania. Pick: Daniel Bryan
  • Harry Kettle: Pick: Daniel Bryan
  • John Clark: Pick: Daniel Bryan
  • Kevin Kellam: Owens has been wishy washy since his return two weeks ago, but Bryan’s new persona has remained steady drumming up heat in every arena.  Pick: Daniel Bryan
  • Colin Tessier: Whether or not you believe Kofi-Mania is running wild, Kevin Owens has no chance, though bringing him back to lose a high profile match right away isn’t ideal. Rowan will probably get involved, which could set up a number of options for ‘Mania. Bludgeon Brothers vs. the Yep! Movement, anyone? Pick: Daniel Bryan
