Final Kojima Update: Kojima Set To Return
New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the matches for their Destruction tour on Monday. Among the title matches and Wrestle Kingdom rematches, it was announced that Satoshi Kojima will return from injury. Kojima is set to return on September 9th at Road To Destruction. Kojima will team with his longtime tag partner Hiroyoshi Tenzan, as well as Yuji Nagata and Manabu Nakanishi, to take on Juice Robinson, David Finlay, Togi Makabe, and Tomoaki Honma. Honma also recently returned from an injury.
Kojima took to Twitter to give a little insight into his headspace before his big return.
The card of the return war came out. Nagata, Nakanishi, Tian Shan, Kojima vs. Makabe, Honma, Juice, Finlay. I’m not going to think of a strategy. I want to fight with instinct. It’s a jumble of fun and anxiety, but the new Japan ring is definitely not a sweet place. I’ll do my best.

Hiromu Takahashi Update
Now that Satoshi Kojima is off the injured list, NJPWed will no longer be providing its regular Kojima Updates. We will however be giving updates on the now-former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi. Takahashi suffered a broken neck back in July and has vacated the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Takahashi released the following video to update his fans on his condition.
