Ring Of Honor announced Jay Lethal as their new World Champion today; Lethal won the title from Dalton Castle in a Fatal 4 Way match this past weekend.
The match featured Castle defending against Lethal, Cody Rhodes and Matt Taven; Castle’s title reign ends at 197 days after winning it from Cody at Final Battle 2017. Lethal begins his second reign as champion after his first reign lasted an impressive 427 days, and he is just the fourth man in ROH history to be a multi-time World Champion.
Castle posted the following Tweet in response to the match (which took place at the TV tapings this weekend, but will be available to watch on Honor Club):
It’s hard to swallow, but things are certainly different now… Beaten. But not finished
