Rey Mysterio is reportedly in discussions with WWE about a three-year deal to return to the company.
According to Lucha Central, Mysterio spoke about his status with the company during the ‘Rey Mysterio Day’ celebration in San Diego today. As of now, no deal between the two sides has been reached; it was noted that the deal reportedly depends on if Mysterio is granted a part-time schedule, something he has been asking for while negotiating with WWE.
If he did sign it’s still unclear when Mysterio would start working for WWE again. He did appear at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia last month, but still has dates coming up including All In on September 1st. It was also speculated that he will appear at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Special In San Francisco on July 7th and AAA’s Triplemania XXVI on August 25th.
