The Undertaker is not done yet!
In his 28th year with the WWE, Mark Calaway has not yet declared retirement from professional wrestling. Although many thought that WrestleMania 33 was the last fight for the Deadman, it appears that he may once again compete at WrestleMania this year.
WWE is teasing a program with John Cena, but the question on my mind is… will the Superdome host The Undertaker’s final match? An even bigger question is if this in fact is The Undertaker’s last match, will he go out on a win or a loss?
There are a few avenues WWE can go down with the booking and aftermath of this match based on the outcome. Let’s dive into a few of them right now!

The Undertaker Loses
In his later years with WWE, Undertaker constantly put over others even before losing the streak at WrestleMania 30. Teddy Long’s booking power surprisingly went beyond tag team main events in the 2005-2010 era of SmackDown when he would recite to a slew of heel stars, “tonight you will go one on one with the Undatakah.” Additionally, the Vickie Guerrero era of management often saw Edge outsmarting the Undertaker year round until the main event of WrestleMania 24.
Edge, along with names such as Mr. Kennedy, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and even The Great Khali (yawn) all have victories over The Undertaker. Besides his history of helping younger talents, The Deadman may himself want to end on a loss a la Ric Flair to Shawn Michaels and many others.
After losing the match, WrestleMania would serve as an emotional sendoff space as it has been for many before. Coming out of the match John Cena would then be able to claim that he retired The Undertaker. This could be a decent launchpad for some backlash against Cena from some younger talent in the post-WrestleMania season.
I could easily see a heel like The Miz or a longtime-fan face like Seth Rollins coming out to ask Cena why he had to poke the bear and bring Undertaker out just to embarrass him in New Orleans yet again. This really gives other stars the ability to paint Cena as a bad guy, much like Batista and Chris Jericho did to Shawn Michaels after he retired Ric Flair.
