Daniel Bryan made a big decision by firing Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live, but ended up paying for it as he was stretchered out of the building.
Bryan, who was cleared for a return to the ring today, called Owens and Zayn to the ring and talked about how close they always were. He said they got what they wanted with Shane McMahon stepping down, but they took it too far when they attacked him.
Daniel Bryan Has Been Medically Cleared For In-Ring Action By WWE
Bryan said he hated doing this, but they attacked their boss and he had to fire them. Bryan asked for a handshake but was attacked instead, then he made a (brief-but-amazing) comeback complete with some YES! Kicks, before the numbers caught up with him. Owens and Zayn ended up beating him down and hit a powerbomb on the side of the ring apron, resulting in Bryan being loaded on a stretcher as the show ended.
