British independent wrestler Joe Hendry has issued a fascinating challenge to UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. Hendry, who is best known for his work in ICW, will be competing for Team Scotland at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Freestyle Wrestling.
As it turns out, the aforementioned Whittaker will also be competing at the Games in Gold Coast, in the same 97kg weight class as Hendry. While you can’t exactly pick which competitors will go against who, if they do square off, it’ll be one of the first pro wrestling vs MMA match-ups of its kind on this stage.
