Baron Corbin is going to WWE Fastlane to challenge for the WWE Championship… but ended up beating Kevin Owens for the title shot, not his original opponent, Dolph Ziggler.
Corbin and Ziggler were set to face off in tonight’s opening match, but Owens and Sami Zayn attacked both of them before the match. Shane McMahon declared he would fix this, and announced Corbin versus Owens, and Ziggler versus Zayn would take place on tonight’s show, adding that Corbin and Ziggler would be added to the Fastlane match if they won their matches.
Corbin beat Owens with End Of Days in the first of the two matchups; Zayn versus Ziggler is still set to take place later on in tonight’s show.
