PWInsider.com is reporting all charges against WWE star Rich Swann related to a kidnapping and battery incident were dropped earlier today.
According to the report, Swann had the charges dropped against him due to prosecutors determining there was “insufficient evidence” to move forward with the case. Swann had been arrested on December 10th, 2017 in Gainesville, Florida and charged with false imprisonment / kidnapping and a misdemeanor battery charge after a roadside incident with his wife, Vannarah Riggs, also known as independent wrestler Su Yung.
At the time of arrest, Swann denied physically striking Riggs and forcing her to return to their car; WWE immediately suspended Swann indefinitely due to their zero tolerance domestic violence policy.
Last week, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were asked about Swann’s status, and the couple said they were waiting for a legal decision to move forward one way or the other. It was stated that if he was found guilty, Swann would have been immediately terminated.
