Johnny Gargano vs Raul Mendoza
Gargano walks out on the ramp to his old #DIY music. Gargano stops on the stage and points at the video screen. The #DIY logo changes to just “Gargano” and the music changes. Gargano has shed the weight of his past and moving forward. Johnny Wrestling is back.
Gargano locks in an arm bar. Mendoza grabs the top rope and flips out of it. Mendoza puts Gargano in an arm wringer. Gargano flips out of that and gator rolls Mendoza. Mendoza gets to his feet. Gargano hits the ropes and levels Mendoza with a shoulder block. Mendoza hits the mat but kips up back to his feet. After a leap frog/drop-down spot, Gargano rolls Mendoza up in a pin. Mendoza kicks out. Roll through head kick by Gargano. Mendoza catches Gargano with a leg lariat. Gargano surprises Mendoza with a spear through the ropes. Gargano blast Mendoza with a clothesline. Gargano attempts another but Mendoza ducks and kicks Gargano in the head. Mendoza goes up top for a 450. Gargano moves out of the way and puts Mendoza in a modified cross face for the submission victory.
Winner- Johnny Gargano
Backstage, Paul Ellering tells SAnity that they showed their sanity by attacking the Authors of Pain. At Takeover Brooklyn, the AOP will write the next chapter. SAnity needs to be prepared… Monsters are real.
