As noted, a fake news story was making the rounds earlier this week claiming a warrant had been issued for the arrest of WWE star Paige, following the domestic incident involving her and Alberto El Patron at the Orlando airport. The rumor began when an internet troll posted the story on an amateur Wix site, and the fake news story was then picked up by BANG Showbiz and MSN.
Newsweek’s Tufayel Ahmed has posted several updates on Twitter, noting that it remains up to the state attorney’s office as to whether or not battery charges will be filed against Paige.
As noted, the Orlando Police Department submitted the case for review after detectives found “probable cause to charge Saraya Bevis, aka Paige, with Battery.”
Story going round that arrest warrant issued for WWE wrestler @RealPaigeWWE on battery charges false, state attorney’s office tells me.
