Drew Gulak Crashes Mae Young Classic
205 Live Superstar Drew Gulak brought his “No Fly Zone” campaign to the Mae Young Classic this Friday night, releasing a video encouraging all of the incredible participants in this year’s tournament to stray away from high risk maneuvers. Clearly nobody told Japanese sensation Kairi Sane, who has been dropping elbows from the top rope all week long down in Orlando. You can check out the video above.
Full Sail Has Spoken…
The crowd at Full Sail University was extremely amped up for the start of the Mae Young Classic, which was taped this Thursday and Friday. Of course all of the major names heading into the tournament received appropriately massive reactions, with Kairi Sane and surprise entrant Candice LeRae being recognized as the clear favorites from the very first round.
What’s really cool though is the arena’s reaction to two lesser known stars competing in WWE’s first major all-female tournament. According to numerous reports sent into us, and judging by posts made on social media, both NXT developmental talent Bianca BeLair and German powerhouse Jazzy Gabert received outstanding reactions and respect from the Orlando crowds. Without giving anything away (you can click here for full spoilers), BeLair was said to be very impressive in her matches and carried herself well in the ring, even busting out a top rope 450 splash. Full Sail even started a “please sign Jazzy” chant directed at Triple H during night two of the tapings.
