James Ellsworth
James Ellsworth defeated WWE World Champion AJ Styles by disqualification on WWE Smackdown Live tonight after Styles stomped him and refused to stop for a referee’s count.
Dean Ambrose was barred from being the referee again this week, so he instead added himself as special guest ring announcer and taunted Styles through the match. The closing moments of the match saw Ellsworth get a near fall with a superkick, then Styles fired back with some forearm strikes. Ambrose said Styles kicked like a soccer mom, then Styles finally had enough and unloaded on Ellsworth with more forearms until the ref called for the bell.
