WWE Stars Invade Santiago, Chile
WWE uploaded the video featured above from the recent Raw-brand trip to Santiago, Chile. One fun note from the tour, Curtis Axel was a part of an 8-man tag team match during the show, and received a huge “Axelmania” chant before breaking into a few of his old Hulk Hogan-esque gimmicks.
Tyrus Defends “Fat-Shaming” in Entertainment
Former WWE Superstar and current TNA wrestler Tyrus (aka Brodus Clay) recently appeared on Fox News’ The Greg Gutfeld Show and addressed “fat-shaming” in relation to a recent Donald Trump controversy. The story stemmed from public outrage after former Miss Universe – which, in fact, is not the WWE’s female answer to the Universal Championship – claimed the Republican presidential nominee called her “Miss Piggy” and insulted her weight during the competition.
During the Fox News segment, Tyrus defended the idea of “fat-shaming” in entertainment, essentially dismissing it as just another ugly part of the business.
“You want to be Miss Universe. There’s not a spelling test to get in there, typically. Just like if you want to be a professional wrestler, you want to be in the NFL, or you want to be an actress. You’re selling your body. So there’s rules, and when they talk to you, they talk to you about your body.” … “He was motivating her to meet the contract that she signed. Her body was what got her there.”
