Politician Gives Owens Shoutout

Canadian politician Matthew Dubé gave a shoutout to WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens on the floor of the Canadian House of Commons yesterday, and you can check it out in the video below:

“It would be easy o make jokes comparing the spectacle of politics with the spectacle of pro wrestling. Let me just say, Monday Night Raw is now The Kevin Owens Show and my constituents and I couldn’t be prouder that the best in the business comes from Marieville,” Dubé said. “We wish him all the best as he continues to have a successful career. Fight Owens Fight!”

Alberto Del Rio Returns to the Ring Tonight

Days after he was allegedly stabbed outside a restaurant, former WWE star Alberto Del Rio returned to the ring at tonight’s WCPW event in Newcastle. Del Rio wrestled in the main event and lost a triple threat match for the first ever WCPW Internet championship. Del Rio had one of his arms taped up due to the stabbing incident.

Furthermore, Del Rio’s girlfriend Paige posted the following on social media while Del Rio is in Newcastle:

My brother is here keeping me company while mi amor is in England kicking traseros! Missing him but at least me and my bro are holding the fort down and having some family time. We can’t wait for you to come home papito! Also zakki said bring him back some real chocolate because he hates it over here hahaha.

Noooo my love has left me to go back to Newcastle where this photo was taken to wrestle again. What do I do with myself. We are literally inseparable. I know he will kill it there like he did last time but what I will miss it sitting watching him live, seeing his passion for this business finally come back. Watching him enjoy his job again. Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
