WWE Brand Split
As it has been reported, WWE has been in contact several past talents for the upcoming WWE brand split. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the idea is that WWE is looking for established names that can work the undercards with the goal of putting people over.
WWE has reportedly been calling anyone they believe is a former star that can still work a good match, citing the Dudley Boyz as an example of talents with recognizable names that can work with upcoming NXT call ups. The NXT roster will also need to be rebooted due to all of the expected promotions due to the roster split, with the Observer noting there are several names, including Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, American Alpha and others, that are ready for the main roster and should be brought up shortly.
