Santino Comments on WWE Release
As noted, two-time Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella was one of several names released by WWE this afternoon. The self-proclaimed “Milan Miracle” gave a few parting words via Twitter just a few moments ago.
This August would’ve been 10 years with #WWE, not bad for a guy who had his first match at age 29, it took me 3 HARD yrs to get there
— Santino Marella (@milanmiracle) May 7, 2016
For those doing the Wiki research that may be confused about that “10 year” number, Santino actually signed his WWE developmental contract in August 2006 while with OVW, despite not making his on-screen debut with WWE until April 2007.
Randy Orton Returning This Summer?
As we noted earlier today, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Randy Orton has been released from his WWE contract, and the confusion was simply a case of his dot com profile being down temporarily. F4WOnline.com is also reporting that there are still plans for “The Viper” to return to the ring at some point this summer.
