Media Mogul Interested in Purchasing WWE?

According to The New York Post, there is “a strong rumor” that media tycoon John de Mol, whose net worth is estimated to be $2.2 billion, is interested in buying WWE if Vince McMahon ever decided to sell.

Mol’s company, Talpa Beheer, acquired a 6% stake in WWE last year, and a spokesperson for Talpa Beheer declined to comment to The Post. WWE, however, issued the following statement:

“WWE, controlled by founder and Chief Executive Officer Vince McMahon through Class B shares, isn’t in any discussions about a potential sale.”

WWE Releasing WrestleMania 32 Limited Edition Box Set

According to WrestlingDVDNetwork.com, WWE will be releasing a limited edition, individually numbered WrestleMania 32 box set. Only 1,000 units of the DVD will be produced, and there are plans to include “one of a kind memorabilia” in the box, including an item signed by a top WWE Legend, an event poster and DVD artwork. The set is already up for pre-order on Amazon UK for £122.06 but it was noted that the actual price may drop to around £75-80. WrestleMania 32 is set to be released on May 10th in North America.
