WWE Superstar Bo Dallas recently spoke to AL.com while promoting WWE RAW, which comes to Birmingham, Alabama on February 1st.

Bo talks about being from the South, developing his character, how NXT has changed, facing Brock Lesnar, and more. You can read a few excerpts below:

Bo Dallas comments on being a Mr. Perfect fan, being in a stable with Curtis Axel:

Well, he’s perfect. [Laughs] No, no. Mr. Perfect/Curt Hennig, he was an amazing athlete. I was a fan of him before I was a performer, but now that I am a performer myself, watching what he did in the ring is just an amazing thing. I’m a huge fan of his and everything he did because he was so amazing. I’m good friends with Curtis Axel. We started a group together, and it looks like we’re taking the world by storm right now and everything’s going great.

Bo comments on working with Brock Lesnar after WWE Summerslam:

Ha. There’s no controlling Brock Lesnar. You have no idea what he’s going to do. At any moment, he could rip your head off. He’s Brock Lesnar. He’s a beast, and he does what he wants. It was intense, awesome and terrifying all at the same time.

Who inspired him to develop his Bo Dallas character?

You study and watch and learn from other superstars throughout he years. I grew up being a huge fan of The Rock. There’s tons of superstars that have influenced the Bo Dallas character, but it’s just kind of a development on itself, through trial and error and what works for me. I think it’s my own creation mixed in with about a million other superstars.

Bo responds to recent comments by Neville on leaving NXT behind, the brand’s growth:

I mean, I understand what Neville is saying. Yes, of course it’s a feeling that it’s moving on without us because we were part of establishing that brand. The NXT’s first live special on the network, me and Neville were the main event in a ladders match for the NXT championship. That was a pivotal moment to where the brand was going to go, and since then it’s only gotten bigger. We knew we were a part of something big, we just didn’t know how big. To see how big it’s gotten is amazing. Of course we want to be a part of that, but we always will be. We’re in the WWE. This is the final endgame. I’m happy where I’m at. Of course I’ll go down and visit NXT, but the WWE main roster is the spot you want to be at.
