Lucha Underground is reported to be taping fewer shows for season two, but production costs themselves might not actually be lowered.
Lucha’s new season features twelve tapings dates for this month through January; if they record two shows per taping they would reach 24 shows, down considerably from 39 in the first season. Plans for each taping are currently unknown, but there is a precedent here as Lucha Underground did start taping multiple episodes per date in their first season.
WWE Champions
WWE recently applied to trademark “WWE Champions” for “video game usage”. It is unknown what the use or platform could be, other than the phrase used for application.
