As noted, tonight’s guest on the new WWE / ESPN recap and interview segment was The Miz, which was hosted by former WWE announcer Todd Grisham.
Grisham, filling in for Jonathan Coachman during the World Series, started the segment, now called “Off The Top Rope” by talking about Brock Lesnar versus The Undertaker at WWE Hell In A Cell. Grisham ran highlights of the match and several moments from RAW, including the Wyatts carrying Kane out (best moment), Neville’s Red Arrow to King Barrett (best move), Paige turning on Becky Lynch and Charlotte (best backstab) and Roman Reigns becoming #1 contender (best finish).
Miz came onto the program and said Grisham was “second string” filling in for the Coach, and Grisham said he’d rather talk to Roman Reigns. The two talks about Miz’s backstage segment with Steve Austin on WWE RAW, then talked about Cleveland sports, and Miz said this is the year for LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Grisham then joked with Miz and asked how he married Maryse and asked why she was with him. Miz closed the segment and said he was just a lucky guy and talked about her, saying he wakes up and can’t believe they are together.
