TNA Production Not Paid… Again
According to a new report from Dave Meltzer, the TNA production crew has still not been paid for the Impact Wrestling television taping dates back in May. This is not exactly a first-time story, and everyone is expecting the company will have to send out checks before the long set of tapings in just two weeks, because TNA obviously can’t afford for the crew to not show up.
ROH vs. NXT in Brooklyn
Apparently there is some concern from Ring of Honor over their 8/22 ‘Field of Honor’ show in Brooklyn, which runs the same weekend as three back-to-back WWE shows in the same city. The show was booked with the knowledge of NXT coming to town that day, but that was back when it was just supposed to be a house show, not a full-fledged NXT Takeover event on the WWE Network, hosted at the Barclays Center, which is a far bigger building than they’ve ever run in before.
Early ticket sales for ‘Field of Honor’ were strong enough that the date and time of the show won’t be changed, but they may attempt to get a hold of a few more top names to stack the card. And that’s for a show that should already be pretty loaded, with three of New Japan’s top stars in Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada and KUSHIDA working the show.
