WWE Games has announced that the cover for the upcoming WWE 2K16 video game will be revealed this coming Monday night on WWE RAW. John Cena was the cover star for last year’s 2K15 version of the game, and The Rock made his return for 2K14.
PWInsider.com is noting that the crew is working extra hard this year to present the most updated roster possible for the October release of the game, which will feature the largest roster in the history of any WWE video game. 2K has already confirmed there will be more than 120 original character models, which does not include alternative variants, and that each and every single one of them will ship with the game.
In past years, the cut-off point for who makes it into the next game is general sometime after WrestleMania, with any major names debuting after that point coming in the form of downloadable content. WWE 2K16 will have an even bigger focus on NXT Superstars this year, and will mark the first time that big names like Kevin Owens and potentially even Samoa Joe appear in the series.
