Orton & Jericho Returning to Raw
Randy Orton and Chris Jericho will both be returning to Monday Night Raw next week on September 1st. Orton was given the week off to rest up, and was even replaced on his live events over the weekend. Jericho is filming an internet series called “Team Tiger Awesome”, and will be hosting a Highlight Reel next week with Orton as his guest.
NXT Testing Top Matches for Live Special
NXT has been testing some of its top matches for the upcoming two-hour live special, NXT Takeover 2, at recent house show events. In a non-title match, Sami Zayn has been going over Adrian Neville, Tyson Kidd and Tyler Breeze in a 4-way. Their match at Takeover will be for the title.
Bayley has also been defeating Charlotte in non-title matches where Sasha Banks ends up costing her the match after interference. While they could completely change the segment for the live special, there has been some discussion in the past about having Bayley take the title from Charlotte – even though she won the belt just a few months ago – and moving her to the main roster. She is considered to be the best of the current crop of developmental Divas, and her presence on Raw and Smackdown would give WWE something to do with Ric Flair on a full-time basis.
