WWE Signs New Developmental Talent
There are several new developmental talents expected to start training at the WWE Performance Center in 2014, reports The Wrestling Observer. "Trademark" Tommy Maclin of The Monster Factory, indie wrestler Brian Tannen, and Shane Taylor, a former football player who has also been working on the independent scene, are all set to begin their training after the new year.
As a result of WWE signing so many indie wrestlers to new developmental deals, The Observer is also reporting that several releases could also be coming in the near future. NXT's Knuckles Madsen was released this past week. Madsen was signed in 2012 and had never been called up to TV. It's being said that some of the other wrestlers who aren't where officials would like them to be might be cut as well in order to make room for the new signees.
