Daniel Bryan Gives His Thoughts on WWE TLC, Randy Orton as the New “Champion of Champions”, the Break-Out Star of 2014

wwe tribute to the troopsWWE Superstar and former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan joined DC 101 with Mike Jones to promote Smackdown's arrival at the Verizon Center on December 29th. Most of the interview was "in character", but there are still some good portions.

Bryan's thoughts on WWE TLC:

"I was obviously disappointed that I lost. It's always hard when you're in a 3-on-1 handicap match, especially three monsters like the Wyatts. Overall looking at it I thought the show was very good. Everybody delivered. I thought the crowd was entertained by the show, and I think people at home liked it. Sometimes it's frustrating when you yourself lose, but overall you have to look at the bigger picture."

Randy Orton as WWE World Heavyweight Champion:

"I don't like people who feel entitled. You work for what you get. Randy is very good – he's viscous – but he really hasn't beat me 1-on-1. It's hard for me when he comes out looking all smug, looking like he's better than us, when he hasn't really beaten me at all. He doesn't want to lose to me. I'm not afraid of losing. I'll go out there and try my best, and if I lose, you shake the guy's hand and say 'hey, tonight you got one on me.' But Randy is incapable of doing that. Last night, I felt like I had him. So that's very, very frustrating."

Who will be the next break-out star in th WWE?:

"The Shield had a tremendous 2013. They were just awesome. They were the best in-ring wrestlers in WWE in 2013. Antonio Cesaro had a great year, and if he can break away from Jack Swagger and the Real Americans, he can have a great year too."

Daniel Bryan's goal in 2014:

"One of my goals is to be WWE Champion, and not just for 21 hours. Nobody can hold the title forever … but I would like to be able to hold it for at least six months. That's my goal for 2014."
