Thanks to reader Omar M. Hany for the following results, from day two of the WWE tour of Egypt:
R-Truth & Seth Rollins b. Dolph Ziggler & Jinder Mahal via pinfall
Back & fourth match, Dolph Ziggler & Jinder tricked the crowd at every opportunity. Truth pinned Mahal for the victory.
Ted Dibiase b. Darren Young via pinfall
Dibiase worked as a face and was over, crowd didn't stand Young though, booed him every time he checked his hair.
Natalya b. Kaitlyn via submission
Standard divas match, Nattie was so over despite the fact that she worked as a heel, Sharpshooter got a lot of people cheering.
Kofi b Miz for the IC title via pinfall
Best match of the night, Miz talked trash to the crowd in Arabic, told us to shut up and how awesome he is in Arabic which was fantastic. Lots of false finishes there, in the end Kofi countered a crushing finale into a trouble in paradise for the pinfall.
Cody Rhodes b. Titus O'Neill via pinfall
Cody worked as the face here and was very over with the crowd, chants of his name were heard all over the entire length of the match, he seemed to be enjoying working as a face.
Alberto Del Rio b. Wade Barrett & Zack Ryder in a Triple threat match for a World Heavyweight title shot at tomorrow's show
Barret & Del Rio worked on Ryder early on only to get into each other faces when Del Rio pinned Ryder and Barrett broke it up. The End saw Ryder hit the Zig Zag on Barret only for Del Rio to come back into the ring, throw Zack outside and score the pin. Ryder was mega over with the crowd.
Sheamus b. Big Show in a Last man Standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Sheamus was over here, lots of Fella signs in the crowd. Big Show dominated, hit the chokeslam on Sheamus only for Sheamus to come back at the end & hit the Brogue Kick, both wrestlers stayed till the count of 9, Sheamus got up while Big Show couldn't.
After the match, Ziggler came & tried to cash in the MITB only for Sheamus to hit the Brogue on Ziggler, match never officially got underway.
All in all a fun show, crowd was into every match & the arena was 80% full which is a good thing considering the extremely expensive prices they were charging for tickets. Think next time they will come with the more established stars like Punk & Cena (noticeable that their shirts were worn more than any other duo in the roster, kids wearing Cena, adults wearing Punk) as this tour was testing the waters. Lilian did the ring introduction while both Scott Armstrong & Charles Robinson (Little Naitch) worked as refs.
