» The fans have decided – with an amazing 63.01% of the vote, IPW:UK fans have come together to demand that the stipulation placed on the Douglas/Maayan “Make or Break” match at Best of British 2 is to be a LADDER MATCH. The first one-on-one meeting between the pair on British soil, this match stemmed from Douglas’ frustration that he was unable to enter into the Best of British: High Flyers match (a title that Aviv Maayan won) due to his nationality, even though he is the reigning and defending wXw Light-Heavyweight champion.
Indeed it was last month at Return of the Dragon where the rivalry heated up, as after El Generico and Douglas himself had been eliminated by double pinfall from the Tornado Tag match, the ‘New Superstar’ took it into his own hands to come back out and save his IPW:UK career – taking advantage of the No DQ rules still in effect when the bout had come down to Super Dragon vs. Aviv Maayan.
Had Maayan been able to over-come the mighty Super Dragon, as per the stipulation of the match, Stevie Douglas would’ve had his IPW:UK contract terminated and he would’ve been banished from these shores. However, he has put up his career one final time against the thing he treasures the most – the tag of the Best High Flyer. And what better match to try and prove it in than in a LADDER MATCH!
» After picking up his first win since the first hour of his IPW:UK career, Tony ‘Superstar’ Sefton has now agreed to fulfil all the rest of his contracted dates for the company. This doesn’t mean he is happy, however, as while he defeated his latest foe ‘Sadistic’ Jack Storm at Return of the Dragon, Storm has been heard saying it’s a “one-off” and that Sefton got “lucky”. Therefore Sefton has signed himself on again to go at it one-on-one with the Sadistic one in a bid to prove that once was a charm, two says I’m better than you!
