– According to reports, Brian Gewirtz will be taking a leave of absence from the WWE creative team during the next few months or so. From what is known at this time, Gewirtz will be leaving for around three months in what was described as working on duties with the “WWE Films” division of the company. For those unaware, Gewirtz is the lead writer for RAW and also helps out with vignettes (and other things) for SmackDown as well. The impression many are getting involving this decision is so he can get a break from the business for a while, although that has yet to be confirmed.
– On a related note, WWE recently hired Larry Mollin as a new writer for the company. Mollin has a background working for the popular “Beverly Hills 90210” series. This continues the trend of another hire of someone who has zero knowledge of the wrestling business or any experience whatsoever.
– Although reports came out earlier today that morale was up among many in WWE following the recent tour overseas in Europe, it should be noted that some some complaints have been voiced from many wrestlers regarding charter flights and other forms of transportation that was used on the UK tour. According to what is being said, they weren’t exactly “top quality” accommodations.
