I just got back from Raw from Portlandâs Rose Garden & thought Iâd submit a few notes:
Heat: Paul Burchill wearing some stupid looking mask around his mask to the ring beat a local jobber from PNW
Kenny Dykstra got some heat beating Val Venis who was way over.
Shelton Benjamin with the help of Charlie Haas beat Scotty 2 Hotty who got a huge pop when he went for the Worm & finally Cryme Tyme who got one of the loudest pops of the night beat Murdoch & Cade.
The Vince Trump thing was cool huge pop for Donald since most didnât believe he was actually gonna be there also got pops when Donald said he was going drop money again and when when Vince agreed to the hair vs hair match.
Crowd was dead for the most part even though it was pretty full Iâd say at least 80% ful of course biggest pop of the night was for Portlandâs own Roddy Piper and especially when King said heâd been at St Vincentâs hospital fighting cancer and kicked cancerâs ass.
Ric Flair is way over in Portland had WHOOOOOO!!! chants from the time the doors opened through the show and even outside after.
Maria came out for the kiss cam which no one cared about but did show 2 from a
popular radio morning show here in town The Playhouseâs Egypt and Duryan which got a tiny pop.
Cena got a nice pop even through the boos Batista and Undertaker were pretty over in the main event as well.
Not too sure where Raw stopped but Iâm sure they left out with Batista and Undertaker leaving in the ring Cena went over offered HBK a handshake but he blew him off then grabbed the WWE title handed it to Cena then shook his hands to a big pop Michaels left to his DX music then hit Cenaâs music and celebrated in the ring
That was it end of the show and no dark match main event even though there have been ads for weeks promoting Umaga vs Cena.
