This past week on Raw, Randy Orton told partner Edge he wouldnât have his back in the main event, citing a meeting with Mr. McMahonâs Executive Assistant, Jonathan Coachman. Wednesday morning, WWE.com found out the reason for that meeting: The Legend Killerâs potential participation at WrestleMania 23. WWE.com has learned that on Monday night, Orton will face Carlito and Ric Flair in a Triple Threat Qualifying Match for the final spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania. While Coachman granted Ortonâs wish of a chance to qualify, he also gave Flair and Carlito a second chance. The two battled in what was supposed to be the final qualifying match last Monday, but The Great Khali attacked both, ending the match in a No Contest and leaving the final spot vacant.
Jerry The King Lawler joined ClubWWI.com earlier today for a 61 minute interview. He discussed a number of topics including who might induct him into the Hall of Fame. “I do have a person, but I’m gonna keep it a little bit of a secret until we get a little closer to the date.” Jerry asked host James Guttman to name some people who’s names sprung to his mind when he heard about Lawler’s induction. James named Jim Ross and Lance Russell. Jerry answered: “If he was still around, Andy Kaufman would be the guyâ¦.Lance Russell, you mentioned Lance Russell certainlyâ¦Truly, I must say that if I pinpointed one person if it’s not for him I wouldn’t be in this profession or talking to you today, that person would be Lance Russell.”
