Brock Lesnar Speaks On Angle In MMA, WWE, More

CBS Sportsline writer Sam Caplan recently interviewed Brock Lesnar. Some highlights are below.

On trying to work MMA fights while in WWE: Yeah, we tried to start a couple of fights up with — but they just never went through. I think people thought that because maybe it had to do with the McMahon family that it would be a staged fight and I don’t know how well the numbers would have been on it. Now that I don’t really have any obligations with the wrestling entertainment business now I think it’s a better deal for me.

On Kurt Angle’s MMA chances: I think Kurt would do rather well in the 205 category, but I think father time has caught up to him rather quickly because of the demand of professional wrestling and what he gave to professional wrestling, and what he gave his body to. I think that he might have a couple of fights in him but … poor guy, he’s given his life and his heart, mind, and soul to be a professional wrestler and he’s hurt himself because of it.
