The decision to hold off on Chris Jericho at No Mercy last night was made because they felt it was just too soon. RAW writer Brian Gewirtz was in favor of the return, but Vince McMahon was against it. It is now likely his return will be held off until Cyber Sunday.
Before John Cena went out with an injury last Monday on RAW, the plan was for Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship at last night’s No Mercy pay-per-view.
