There is a horror film coming out starring Rey Misterio Sr., the uncle of the current WWE star. This preview basically sums up the movie: “Locals claim that the deranged wrestler ‘El Mascarado’ (Rey Misterio), though long dead, returns to rip the faces off his victims.” The movie is called Wrestlemaniac and will be released straight-to-DVD on March 11, 2008.
Both Val Venis and Kane are now supporting Ron Paul for president. As mentioned yesterday, Ric Flair is campaigning for Mike Huckabee.
Phil Caminini sent this in: Just wanted to let you know that Vince McMahon will be appearing on next Thursday’s Celebrity Apprentice as one of Donald Trump’s judges (taking the place of Donald Jr.).
Thanks to Gabe for also sending word about this. Sting gives rare TV interview on Friday. Sting will be making a rare UNMASKED TV appearance this Friday (Jan. 18th, 2008) as Steve Bordon on “Joni,” a talk show on the Daystar Television Network. The show is primarily geared toward females, but Sting spends most of the show talking about the effect that the Pro Wrestling business had on his life. It may be worth a watch for Die-Hard sting fans. The interview can be seen on Daystar: Dish Network Channel 263, and DirecTV Ch. 369. 3pm & 8pm CT.
Shannon sent this in: I was checking out the info on the movie “Wrestlemaniac” that was mentioned in an earlier news update, and it should be noted that it is in fact Rey Mysterio Sr. in the movie, not Rey Mysterio Jr. who is the current WWE superstar.
