Lashley Update, SSeries Buyrate, WWE Matches Per Year, More

I can 100% confirm that Lashley has indeed left WWE. We actually talked to him this morning and it’s a done deal. I’m actually under the impression that someone in that company pissed him off pretty good. He’s gone.

The preliminary estimate has Survivor Series ’07 doing about 325,000 worldwide buys (with 200,000 North American buys). Survivor Series ’06 did about 383,000 PPV buys worldwide.

Batista wrestled 161 matches in 2007, leading anyone on the current WWE roster, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Rounding out the top five, Jeff Hardy wrestled 146 matches, MVP worked 145 matches, Orton did 144 matches, and Kane worked 139 matches.

Rob Van Dam told Kevin Eck during an interview with the Baltimore Sun that he is not ready for a fulltime return to wrestling. RVD said that his surprise appearance on the 15th Anniversary RAW show was a quick in-and-out appearance. According to Van Dam, WWE officials approached him at the show about a full-time return, but he declined their offer.
