Whatâs Good Anymore?
Nick Hogan: Coming to a Raw Near You in Eight Months
Itâs sad. A seventeen-year old kid gets locked up for eight months for doing something moronic and he will get rewarded for it. Nick Hogan had faced up to five years following being charged for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, a third-degree felony.
Eight months in county lockup will scare him straight, right?
Letâs hope Santino Marela wonât be his riding partner when Nick joins the WWE.
Hollywood doesnât create stars anymore. They only shine light and the cockroach âcelebritiesâ scurry. Reality TV and televised pro wrestling shows donât highlight the good in anyone⦠they simply exploit flaws and focus on dark voids that fill all Manâs heartâs. But if everyone is bad, can anyone be good? The âshade-of-grayâ bullshit never worked for me.
William Regal is a heel and some in the IWC wants him to go away. To me, Regal is a breath of fresh air because he is truly loathsome. His character is patterned after monarchy, a âKim Jong-ilâ like portrayal. Statues will be erected in arenas across North America if Regal continues on his way. Now, to be truly powerful, Regal needs a soul-crushing army. If the WWE plays their cards right, Regal vs Triple H could headline the Royal Rumble and draw a good buyrate.
John Cena is âgoodâ but people love to boo him. Mr. Kennedy is âbadâ but people want to cheer him. They flip Kennedy but not Cena. Why canât the crowd turn someone?
Is Jericho bad or good? Or is he just being honest with Shawn Michaels?
Edge is a scumbag. Mickie James is cute and perky and her character is staying on the Lithium. But, even McDonaldâs comes up with bad ideas like the Arch Deluxe and now gourmet coffee. Floyd Mayweather didnât deliver the buyrate at Mania because no one liked him and they turned him too late. The main event build was so shitty and tepid that it didnât deliver but you knew that would happen by reading my column.
That said, if I could write a wrestling show with people I liked, I would do it in a second. Creating is fun. Who would you like to write a wrestling show with? Any of your friends? Mates from university? Guys you work with? I would be interested to know.
