NWA Anarchyâs Todd Sexton joins me tonight for a PSP Fix, filling in for promoter Jerry Palmer, live at 9:30 PM ET.
An updated lineup for TNAâs Turning Point PPV, which will be broadcast live from Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, on November 9: Sting defends the TNA World Heavyweight Title against A.J. Styles; Kevin Nash versus Samoa Joe; Booker T defends the Legends Title against Christian Cage, whereas if Cage loses, he must become a member of the Main Event Mafia; Beer Money defends the TNA World Tag Team Title against the Motor City Machine Guns; Kurt Angle versus Abyss; Rhino versus Sheik Abdul Bashir; and a match where seeding will determine top contenders for the TNA X Division Title.
GWH wishes a happy birthday to the Boogeyman (1964). Fitting, to say the least.
Today in Memoriam: Gene Anderson (58, 1991), Joe Dusek (81, 1992), Moose Cholak (72, 2002), and Huracan Ramirez (80, 2006).
As expected from the many reports we received between Tuesday and Thursday, the war between Great Championship Wrestling and Prime Time Pro Wrestling reached a new level on Thursday night.
The Southside Trash (“Rowdy” Randy Harris & “Raunchy” Drew Golden) quit PTPW. They were in the parking lot before the show in Columbus, GA, telling fans to follow them over to the GCW show in Phenix City, AL, and they would be let in free. Manager J.P. Money also headed over to GCW along with two of the PTPW security guys. PTPW Owner Billy Roper got on the mic and said the Trash quit because he had three top independent talents Micah Taylor, Sonny Siaki, and Bull Buchanan, who incidentally were let go by GCW on Wednesday.
The results from the Event Center: Ace Rockwell & Frankie Valentine over Rob Adonis & Colt Derringer. Taylor beat Sal Rinauro. Buchanan beat the returning A.J. Steele. Deathrow beat Chris Stevens to win the PTPW Heavyweight Title. Stevens came out with his ribs taped from last week. Deathrow got an assist from Jake Slater. In the Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Scaffolding Match, David Young beat Slater. Said to be brutal. Slater was busted open the hard way with a chair shot to the back of the head, and also juiced from the forehead. The finish saw Young first hit a spinebuster, followed by a spinebuster into a chair, then splashed Slater through a table off the scaffolding. Siaki ran in through the back door, beat on Young with a chair and gave him a DDT into stacked chairs. According to Roper, the attendance was 86, with 50% paying.
They’re back to Friday next week (November 7) with Bad Company (Buchanan, Young, and Stevens) booked in a 6-man tag team match. Tracy Taylor is also on the card. Roper announced that if they draw over 200 paid next Friday, he will refund everyone half of their admission price. Thanks to Matt Tew for his help with this report.
We have not received the results from GCW as we normally do by this time of day on Friday. However, Larry Goodman had a conversation with GCWâs Quentin Michaels following the show last night. We also know that Michaels began the GCW event by bringing out owner Diane Hewes, as well as Eddy Phillips, in what he called a show of solidarity before telling fans they had a choice, and for choosing GCW they would see the best showever, while denouncing those who attended the PTPW show with by saying, âScrew you!â
In a statement this afternoon, Roper noted the Trash defection as âvery well orchestratedâ, but expressed his disappointment in them for leaving the way they did. He also thanks the fans who attended, as well as âthe professionals that were in my dressing roomâ, vowing PTPW will not go away.
This war has been brewing for some time now, and with PTPW opting to run on Thursday head-to-head this week only, it was bound to escalate. It remains unseen at this time what the remaining fallout will be, but we will attempt to stay on top of further developments.

The Great American Wrestling Federation will be having a show on November 1 at the Hosford Telogia Game Room Entertainment Center in Hosford, FL.
