TNA Impact Opener:
Impact starts with the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles, coming to the ring with Ric Flair. AJ is on the mic and goes right to the subject of Abyss. AJ rips Abyss for being stupid enough to think Hogan’s HOF ring will help him at Destination X. AJ talks about all of their past encounters, and reminds everyone that he always beat Abyss, and this Sunday will be no different. Flair gets on the mic and throws off his jacket. Flair is still mad for Hogan busting him open last week. Flair punches himself in the head where his stitches are, and busts himself open again in the process. He addresses Jeff Hardy, saying he hates him, and that they will bring it to Hardy everyday. This brings out Hardy, who comes out wearing his trademark facepaint. AJ calls Hardy a nobody and says he has done nothing in TNA. AJ says since Hardy wants the spotlight so much, that they should face off tonight! Jeff says it’ll be a breeze. Flair says a breeze for Hardy is painting pictures and getting high backstage. Hardy says the only thing he will get high on is the backs of his "creatures of the night" and does some weird growl/scream to end the segment.
Backstage, Bischoff is with Mick Foley yelling about Foley trying to help Jeff Jarrett last week. He says Foley is going to start looking the corporate image that Bischoff had planned, and that Foley will get his beard and head shaved in the ring tonight.
We see footage from earlier today of Jesse Neal at a catering truck. He is jumped by the Nasty Boys and they scream that they will see Team 3D later tonight. Now back in the ring Knobbs is screaming on the mic, saying instead of their 6 man tag match, it will be a handicap match. This brings out Brother Ray on the mic, who says they have a replacement, and brings out the returning Brother Runt (Spike Dudley).
