Jinder Mahal comments on whether he would be open to going back to WWE or potentially working elsewhere.
WWE released Mahal, a former WWE Champion, in April 2024. Since then, he has been active on the independent scene, and he has also wrestled for AAA.
In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Jinder Mahal was asked whether he would be be open to going back to WWE or going somewhere else.
“Yeah, of course, if it makes sense,” Mahal said. “Of course, if creative, business-wise, there has to be enough zeros on a piece of paper for me to sign it [laughs]. But I’m just having fun. I’ve been very blessed in my career, I’ve had a long career, and I invested most of my earnings throughout my years, I became financially literate, I’ve studied money, learned compound interest and how to invest, rental properties. So I just kind of do what I want and have fun [laughs]. But again, if it makes sense business-wise or something interests me creative-wise, definitely.”
Jinder Mahal On AEW
Mahal has also been linked to AEW since his release. He has teased his interest in working with HOOK. However, in a recent interview with Monopoly Events’ Jamal Niaz, he said that no one from the company had reached out to him.
“So not on an official level, nobody has on a really official level,” Raj Dhesi said. “Just because myself at this time, I’m just enjoying myself. I was under contract for so many years, and the WWE schedule right now, I wish we would have had this schedule with less emphasis on live events because we were worked pretty heavily. Our schedules were quite intensive. But as far as signing with another major promotion, everything would have to be right.
“Storyline, business would have to make sense, everything would have to make sense because I’m in a great spot. I had a great career in WWE, I’m happy with everything I accomplished, and if that’s everything that I ever do, I’m more than satisfied, more than happy with it. I’m into business outside of WWE, I just filmed a movie last week. So yeah, I’m just excited to have freedom and I just do whatever makes me happy.”
