New Jack is in WWE 2K25, as he will be available as a downloadable character in the Fearless Pack. A major name is said to be the reason why he was added to the game.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider writes that, when speaking with WWE 2K video game developer Bryan Williams, he asked about New Jack being added to the game. Williams noted that the ECW legend was a “shock” to them all, and Nick Khan was the one behind it.
Nick Khan apparently asked for New Jack to be in WWE 2K25
“New Jack was a shock to all of us on the Visual Concepts and marketing side,” Williams said. “New Jack was someone who I never expected would make it into our franchise. It’s funny because it was actually Nick Khan who recommended or suggested that we add New Jack as DLC. When I heard that information from my marketing rep I was like, ‘Really?’
“They were like, ’Oh yeah, he’s a big fan.’ I believe he’s working on the paperwork to make this thing a reality. That was a huge surprise. Talk about a curveball, that thing came out of — not left field, that came out of a different game altogether. So I’m really excited to have New Jack be a part of the game this year. We have some really cool things planned for New Jack.”
New Jack was a three-time ECW World Tag Team Champion, and he was a controversial figure in the wrestling world. He was involved in multiple incidents, including stabbing William Jason Lane during a match. He was part of the Mass Transit Incident as well. New Jack passed away in 2021.
The “Fearless” pack will be released in July, and it includes New Jack, Jordynne Grace, Penta, and WWE Hall Of Famer Bull Nakano.
WWE 2K’s Bryan Williams also spoke with WrestleZone’s Matt Black about this year’s video game. During the interview, Williams teased that there have been discussions about adding TNA talent to the game.
