Paul Heyman is guiding Bron Breakker.
On-screen, Paul Heyman serves as the manager, or “Wise Man,” to former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Backstage, Heyman carries on a similar role as he extends his wisdom to a number of up-and-coming as well as established talents like Reigns.
According to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, one of the rising names sitting under Heyman’s learning tree is Bron Breakker.
“He’s a young guy, incredibly athletic, great character, he’s a sponge,” Levesque told The Hollywood Reporter in reference to Breakker. “I have Heyman spend a lot of time with him to help develop him with his promos, to help develop his character, to help push him in a direction. Then Paul talks to me and talks to the writers about where do we want to take that, and then he’s the conduit for where we want to go to that talent.”
Son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, Breakker joined WWE in 2021 by reporting to its developmental territory of NXT. There, he became a two-time NXT Champion and one-time NXT Tag Team Champion. In 2024, Breakker ascended to WWE’s main roster, where he now holds the Intercontinental Championship.
Next week, Breakker will defend that very title against the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Meanwhile, Heyman finds himself in a dicey situation on-screen as he comforted CM Punk, an ally-turned-rival of Reigns, on this week’s episode of WWE Raw. Afterward, Reigns laid out Punk with a spear.
