Adam Cole Is Fully Confident The Best Years Of His Career Are Ahead

Adam Cole is convinced his best work is coming in the next few years, despite struggling greatly with injuries in AEW.

The former NXT Champion has been dogged by injuries since joining the promotion in 2021. A concussion cost him months of his career. Additionally, a freak ankle injury kept Adam Cole out of action for over a year, derailing his storyline with MJF.

Despite these struggles, Adam Cole is determined that the next few years will be the best of his entire career. He sat down to appear on Close-Up w/ Renee Paquette to discuss the challenges he has faced.

The AEW star admitted that it has been difficult but does not want to even think about hanging up his boots. Adam Cole is sure that the next few years will be the best years of his career. He is looking forward to getting better and better.

“To me, there’s just no other choice. I know these challenges have been difficult, but everyone goes through their own challenges in their own way. I’m not even close to wanting to be done with wrestling—I feel like I have a lot more to offer, especially here in AEW,” said Adam Cole.

“Even with these roadblocks or challenges, my mentality has never changed. I’m fully confident that I’ll be able to come back from all this and have the best years of my career ahead of me,” Cole added.

Adam Cole: I Definitely Want To Wrestle For NJPW Again

Adam Cole wants to return to the NJPW ring.

AEW’s working relationship with NJPW has seen stars from the two companies compete for the other. This partnership was followed by the working relationship between WWE and TNA, which has led to many crossover matches as well. In both cases, there are many exciting opportunities for wrestlers.

Speaking with Chris Mueller for Bleacher Report, Adam Cole was asked whether this is the best time to be a wrestler.

“Without question,” Cole said. “It’s a fact. Since I’ve started wrestling, this absolutely is the best time to not only be a wrestler, but to be a wrestling fan. It’s so incredible to see so much great pro wrestling across the board. All the opportunities that so many different wrestlers are getting. It feels like a golden age, or like a boom period for pro wrestling. I love that. It makes me so so happy. 2025 At this moment, this has been the most exciting time to be a wrestler or a fan.”
