AEW Collision Results:

This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with quick promos from Daniel Garcia, FTR, the Undisputed Kingdom, Bandido, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Julia Hart hyping up their respective matches on tonight’s show. A future match was also teased between Brody King and Kazuchika Okada.

FTR vs. Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly

  • Early on FTR won the match but since there was a foot on the ropes they asked for the match to be restarted. The finish of the match saw Strong and O’Reilly hit High Low on Cash Wheeler. O’Reilly scored the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Undisputed Kingdom

After the match, FTR refused to shake Undisputed Kingdom’s hands and left instead.

Grade: A

What a fantastic opener! If you’re looking for great tag team action you’ll find it tonight on this show. All four men looked great in this. I would not hate to see a rematch between these two teams again in the near future.

A video package airs recapping Willow Nightingale taking out Marina Shafir with a Conchairto on Dynamite.

Wheeler Yuta vs. Willie Mack

  • The finish of the match saw Wheeler Yuta hit Willie Mack with a Busaiku knee to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Wheeler Yuta

After the match, Jon Moxley comes out and hits Willie Mack with the briefcase. Jon Moxley says what’s happening is none of Oakland’s business. Moxley says he’s here to teach Wheeler Yuta how to finish the job. Mox tells Yuta he needs to finish the job and take out Copeland on Dynamite. Yuta hits Mack with the briefcase.

Grade: B+

It wasn’t a very long match, but there was nothing wrong with it either. A good match between two good wrestlers. All good!

Is Mercedes Moné TBS Title reign on borrowed time?

Mercedes Moné is backstage without her TBS Championship. Billie Starkz shows up with it and Mercedes takes it back. Starkz says Momo says Mercedes can enjoy it while it lasts but at Revolution, she’s taking that title. Starkz gets revenge from Dynamite and throws a cup of tea in Mercedes’ face and leaves.

We hear from Timeless Toni Storm, who is at home in bed in a neck brace. Storm runs down the rules for her match with Mariah May at Revolution. There are basically no rules and pinfalls will count anywhere in the building. Storm ends the promo by ripping off the neck brace.

Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Clark Connors

  • The finish of the match saw Swerve Strickland hit Clark Connors with a House Call to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

Grade: A-

Very good match here. A nice showcase for fans to see what Clark Connors is capable of and give a good win for Swerve Strickland on the road to Revolution. So it’s a win-win as far as I’m concerned.

A segment airs which took place earlier this week on Dynamite. It’s announced that The Hurt Syndicate will defend the AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Outrunners at Revolution.

Harley Cameron quickly joins the commentary team to reveal the name of her finishing move from Dynamite is… her finishing move.

Big Boom AJ will be in action at AEW Revolution

Big Boom AJ and Big Justice are backstage with Alicia Atout. They are confronted by Johnny TV who challenges AJ to find two partners and face him and MxM Collection at Revolution.

Lee Moriarty and The Infantry (w/ Shane Taylor) vs. Dave Dutra, Nick Ruiz, and Vinnie Massaro

  • A very quick squash match win for Shane Taylor Promotions.

Winners: Lee Moriarty and The Infantry

Grade: N/A

Just a squash match. Nothing to grade.

AEW TNT Championship: Adam Cole vs. Daniel Garcia (c)

  • The finish of the match saw Shane Taylor Promotions interfere and attack both men.

Winner: No contest

Grade: B+

Overall I enjoyed the match a great deal but I didn’t love this finish. I initially said I thought it was weird this match wasn’t being saved for the pay-per-view and now I know why. I don’t think this was needed personally, but whatever.

A vignette airs for The Opps.

Big Boom AJ finds his partners for Revolution on AEW Collision

Backstage Big Boom AJ and Big Justice find Orange Cassidy and Mark Briscoe to team with them at Revolution to take on MxM Collection and Johnny TV.

Julia Hart vs. Queen Aminata

  • The finish of the match saw Queen Aminata hit Julia Hart with the Queen Knee to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Queen Aminata

After the match, Brody King checks on Julia Hart and gets hit from behind by Kazuchika Okada with the Continental Championship.

Grade: B+

So Julia and Aminata have exchanged wins over the last two weeks. I’m assuming this will lead to a rubber match? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

AEW Revolution isn’t about revenge for Kenny Omega

We hear from Kenny Omega. Omega says he’s heard long enough about the fact that Konsuke Takeshita defeated him twice in one week. Omega says it’s gotten on his nerves. Kenny says this match is about the International Championship and wants to prove that Takeshita can’t beat him three times. Omega says his focus isn’t on revenge, it’s on the title and he’s going to take it at Revolution.

Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs. Bandido and Powerhouse Hobbs

  • The finish of the match saw Powerhouse Hobbs hit the Spinebuster on Bryan Keith to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Powerhouse Hobbs and Bandido

Grade: B+

Powerhouse Hobbs and Bandido celebrate their win as AEW Collision goes off the air.

AEW Collision Review:

This was a very fun show. They padded out the Revolution card and there was a lot of great action on this show. Didn’t love the TNT Title match outcome but if it leads to a three-way at the pay-per-view, I’ll allow it.

Grade: A-
