Oba Femi Appears On TNA iMPACT, Will Compete Next Week

Oba Femi warned Moose he’d invade his territory and that is exactly what happened.

After Moose made a shock appearance on NXT this week, Oba Femi fired back with a warning of his own. He said he would repay the favour and did exactly that with a surprise appearance on TNA Impact last night.

After JDC beat Leon Slater, the Hardys ran to the ring to save Slater from a beatdown from the System. They also succumbed to the numbers as Moose led his group on a brutal attack.

This prompted the TNA debut of NXT Champion Oba Femi, who ran in to attack every member of the group. He threw the System out of the ring and stood tall with the Hardys and Leon Slater at the end of the segment. His debut was also shown in a clip posted to Twitter via TNA.

After the segment, the System complained to the Director of Authority, Santino Marella. He rejected their complaints about his doing a bad job of letting Oba Femi in the building.

Santino then booked a match for next week. He decided that The System’s Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards and Moose would compete in a six-man tag match against The Hardys and Oba Femi on TNA Impact.

This looks to be building to a titanic clash between Oba Femi and Moose in the near future.

Oba Femi: Big Man Wrestling Is A Lost Art

Oba Femi is bringing back a lost art of wrestling with his big-man style.

Speaking with Cameron Hawkins for Uncrowned, he claimed that big-man wrestling is a lost art. This is due to the high-flying, fast-paced indie style that has become the norm.

He said fans find it refreshing seeing someone like him working his style and it has paid off for the NXT Champion.

“I’ve come around at a very opportune time when big-man wrestling is not the main thing. It’s become like a niche. Almost a lost art because everyone’s doing Canadian Destroyers and everyone’s high flying and everyone’s spring-boarding, trying to pop the crowd. It’s refreshing that the fans get to see an Oba Femi who comes in and stays on the ground and is physical and fires up and is riled up. I think people miss that.”
