WWE NXT Results:

Jacy Jayne w/Fatal Influence vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Jayne takes control early. Vaquer fires after sending Jayne into the turnbuckle and landing a dropkick. Liger-style leg drop by Vaquer. Jayne kicks at two. Vaquer works over Jayne in the corner with vicious face washes. Jayne takes control again after slipping out of a slam and driving Vaquer’s head into the mat. Jayne misses a senton.

Vaquer slams Jayne’s head into the mat repeatedly. Dive by Vaquer. After a distraction from North American Champion Fallon Henley, Jayne floors Vaquer with a PK on the apron. After the break, Vaquer has Jayne dead to right, but Nxy rolls in and tries to break up the pin. Vaquer avoids it and kicks Nyx out of the ring. Vaquer hits her finish on Jayne for the win.

Winner- Stephanie Vaquer

Grade: B

This match was good. Better than your average TV match. Vaquer and Jayne treaded this like they were wrestling for their dinners. Each deserves a steak tonight.

The King has Arrived

NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King gloats about being the new champion. King goes on and on about how great he is and how he doesn’t need to take advice. King quips that the NXT Universe were fools if they thought he was going to change. With that, King says he is getting rid of the stupid rules associated with the Heritage Cup.

No more rounds, no more corner men, and no more time limits. The cup is now one fall, winner take all. Fandango’s music hits. Dango has returned to NXT! King jokes that Fandango doesn’t belong here anymore. Fandango says he is here representing The System in TNA, and he goes by JDC now. JDC says King will defend the Heritage Cup against him next week on NXT.

Grade: C+

The crowd chose to either be totally silent or lightly boo King. That did NOT go well. Not of his lines hit or popped the crowd. Seeing Fandango JDC again was nice, but I don’t think anyone wants to see him face King for the Cup. Also, this writer was never a fan of the Cup but taking away everything that makes it special makes it useless. Just drop the damn thing.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Ridge Holland

The finish of this one saw Tony D’Angelo and Izzie Dame try to distract Holland, but Holland eventually lands the Redeemer for the win.

Winner- Ridge Holland

Grade: C+

Stacks looked good tonight. Holland tossed Stacks around the same way he does most opponents. No matter how impressive the beatdown is, Holland still seems to be missing something that this writer can’t put his hands on. Oddly, they are teasing heat between Stacks and The Don at this point, but let’s see where it goes.

Zaria and Sul Ruca vs. Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley

Dolin gets in Zaria’s face. Zaria levels her with a straight right. The match breaks down. Zaira gets a near fall after a spear. Paxley and Dolin both escape slams and land enziguri. Paxley tries a dive and gets caught in midair by Zaria. Zaria F5s Paxley onto Dolin. Ruca charges in and surprises Dolin with the Sol Snatcher for the win.

Winners- Zaria and Sul Ruca

Grade: B-

Fun match, but entirely too short. All four women in this match are solid, but it’s strange to see Zaira related to tag team matches. Granted, there is only so much space at the top of the card, but this isn’t the lane this writer expected her to occupy upon her signing.

Women’s Championship Vengeance Day Summit

Giulia, Bayley, and Roxanne Perez take time dumping on each other. 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair interrupts (and gets a much better reception here than she did on Raw). Flair announces that Momma has come home and reminds the crowd that she picked the NXT Champion to face the last time she won the Royal Rumble. Flair puts over each competitor while dumping on them at the same time. No matter who Flair picks, she is walking out as champion. Cora Jade appears and hits Bayley and Giulia with a kendo stick. Perez looks on, and Jade takes a swing at her, too. Perez looks shocked.

Karmen Petrovic vs. Kelani Jordan

Petrovic and Jordan trade shots. Ashante “Thee” Adonis ends up eating a dive from Jordan after he pushes Petrovic out of the way. Jaida Parker walks down the ramp. In the confusion, Petrovic lands a dive that takes out Jordan. Petrovic gets a near fall after a DDT.

After the break, Jordan lands a modified Angle Slam. Jordan lands a split-legged moonsault. Parker and Jordan stare each other down. Jordan lands another moondsault and traps Petrovic in a crossface chicken wing. Petrovic taps out. After the match, Jordan locks in another chicken wing. The referee reverses the decision.

Winner- Karmen Petrovic

Grade: C

… What was that finish?

NXT Champion Oba Femi & Trick Williams vs. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller)

Femi and Williams argue. Theory and Waller take control after Williams gets distracted, jawing at Femi. Femi tags in and clears the ring. Williams tags himself back in, and both men argue some more. Femi pulls Williams out of the ring so they can continue bickering. Waller lands on both men with a tope. Theory and Waller work over Williams. Williams manages to tag in Femi. Femi destroys Waller and Theory. Double stack Samoan drop by Femi. Williams tags himself in. While the referee is distracted, Eddy Thorpe wacks Williams with a strap. Waller hits the rolling thunder facebuster for the win.

Winners- A-Town Down Under

Grade: B-

Solid match. Williams and Femi being catty with each other the whole match was highly entertaining. The angle at the end with Thorpe was interesting, but Thorpe isn’t exactly the world’s most interesting man.

WWE NXT Review:

Tonight’s show featured solid in-ring action with a few stinker finishes, particularly the finish of the Pertrovic/Jordan match. The march to Vengence Day hasn’t exactly been thrilling, but the angles tonight helped put the show into focus to properly build to the next PLE.

This event starts at 8 PM EST. This information will be updated as the event progresses.
