Penta is taking his WWE journey step by step, but he has his sights set on WWE WrestleMania 41.
The former AEW star has continued to gain momentum since he made his WWE debut on the January 13th episode of WWE RAW. He teased potentially targeting WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker on the January 27th episode of WWE RAW.
Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider at a media event ahead of WWE Royal Rumble, Penta was asked whether he had a dream WrestleMania match.
“I prefer step-by-step,” he said. “Why not [John] Cena? Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, [CM] Punk, Cody [Rhodes]. I want everyone.”
Penta On Rey Mysterio
Penta was also asked whether he had leaned on Rey Mysterio at all. He noted that Mysterio inspired him, but he did not want to be the next Rey Mysterio. Instead, he wanted to be the first Penta.
“Not really,” he said. “He has only inspired me throughout my career and personal life. He is my friend. I love Rey, but I don’t want to be the next Rey Mysterio. I want to be the first Penta.”
