Cage and Archer get involved. Fletcher and Takeshita hit stereo piledrivers. The Don Callis Family stands tall. Omega tries to fight back, but Takeshita and Fletcher attack him again.
Grade: A
Good opening match here. Ospreay works well with everyone, and Cage remains very underrated as a powerhouse. This made for a good clash of styles. It would be good to see Cage get a big win, as it seems like he always loses matches like this. The post-match beatdown went a little long, but it got the point across.
Backstage, Renee Paquette is outside of Swerve Strickland’s locker room. “Hangman” Adam Page shows up looking for him. He briefly stares down MJF. Page walks away, and MJF says everyone loves Page, and he’s clearly frustrated about it. MJF says that his words are prophecy, and he’s going to teach Jeff Jarrett that the hard way. He says his new offer for Jarrett is one that he can’t decline.
Grade: B+
The tease of Page circling back to Strickland was intriguing, given their history. It seems like AEW is finally building the long-awaited feud between Page and MJF, which is one of the few matchups AEW has yet to fully deliver since the two became top stars.
Backstage, Powerhouse Hobbs says that he was not cleared to travel to AEW Dynamite tonight following his brawl with Big Bill on AEW Collision. He makes it clear that he’s coming for Bill once he’s cleared.

Castagnoli hits the Neutralizer. He hits another Neutralizer for the win.
Winner: Claudio Castagnoli
Fans chant for Jeff Jarrett after the match. MJF comes out and attacks Jarrett. He says he respects his elders, and that’s why he wouldn’t say “I told you so.”
Grade: B
With all due respect to Jarrett, this world title chase isn’t really working. It doesn’t seem like people are rallying around him, and there’s no reason to think he has any chance of actually winning the title. Given his age, he didn’t quite match up with Castagnoli, one of AEW’s strongest workers. Castagnoli needing Yuta and Moxley to help him win was overkill, and it made him look weak. It looks like the road forward is a match between MJF and Jarrett, which might have a lot of the same challenges as this one.
Backstage, Ricochet says he will talk to Renee Paquette at length on AEW Collision, but tonight he’s focused on his match against AR Fox.
Ricochet vs. AR Fox
Ricochet and Fox feel each other out. Fox catches Ricochet with a stunner and a brainbuster. He dives onto Ricochet at ringside. Ricochet hits Fox with a hip toss on the apron. Ricochet catches Fox with a dropkick. He hits a standing moonsault.

Grade: B+
Fox is always fun to watch. The outcome was never in question, but both guys looked good. Ricochet’s heel run has been a pleasant surprise so far, as he has showed a side of himself fans never got to see in WWE. The build to the Strickland vs. Ricochet match has been strong, and it’s safe to bet they’ll deliver the goods next week.
Part of Renee Paquette’s interview with Jon Moxley and the Death Riders is played.

He says he hated what the Deathriders did to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Harwood challenges the Deathriders to a Midsouth Street Fight for AEW Collision.
Grade: B
This was fine. Another match where the outcome was never in doubt. Yuta got in a good amount of offense, which only delayed the inevitable. Cope and FTR making the save helped add some excitement, but the Death Riders story has been repetitive for a while now.
Mariah May Speaks
AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May takes a shot at Huntsville. When asked about Toni Storm, May says Storm is not “real”. She sends a message to Storm, recalling how she used Storm for her gold. May says Storm’s most memorable moment was bleeding and crying because of her. May says that whatever role Storm plays, the ending will be the same, as she is the “Woman from Hell”.
Grade: B+
Solid promo from Mariah May here. It fell short of the great segment she and Toni Storm had on Collision, but it was a good follow-up. May and Storm had an excellent story the first time around, and the sequel has been superb as well.

Winner and still TBS Champion: Mercedes Moné
Grade: B+
Again, the outcome wasn’t in doubt, but this was a solid main event. Sakazaki hasn’t really been built up enough within AEW for a spot like this, but having Mercedes main-event Dynamite was long overdue. She needs more strong challengers moving forward.
