Jordynne Grace says fans shouldn’t expect her in Indianapolis this weekend.
Grace recently let her contract with TNA expire, and Fightful (via Fightful Select) is reporting that she has since signed a contract with WWE. PWInsider.com later confirmed the initial report about Grace signing, noting that she flew to Orlando to finalize her contract after TNA Genesis.
PWInsider’s report also claimed that Grace canceled an indie appearance in Texas. The report also said WWE sources confirmed she will be in Indianapolis this weekend for the 2025 Royal Rumble. However, Jordynne Grace shot that part down, claiming that she was flying home for her mother’s 50th birthday party.
Grace shared a screengrab of her flight itinerary on Twitter, showing that she has a round-trip flight booked from Atlanta to Austin, Texas this weekend.
It’s worth noting that Grace’s response is not a direct denial that she won’t be at the Royal Rumble. It’s always possible that Grace could still fly to Indianapolis and get back to host the party too. However, it looks more likely that she won’t be at the Rumble on February 1, or wants to keep it a surprise.
Grace is expected to debut as an official member of the WWE roster in the near future. She appeared in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, but as a member of the TNA roster.
Jordynne Grace shares why she let her TNA contract expire
Grace recently appeared on Insight With Chris Van Vliet. There, she opened up about why it was time to move on from TNA. Grace confirmed she asked for her contract expiration date to be changed from October 2025 to January, also thanking TNA for agreeing to the terms.
“I’ve been at TNA for a very long time, since 2018, and I’ve never let my contract expire before. I’ve always just re-signed,” Grace said. “I don’t know if it was just the uncertainty of not knowing what was going to happen next, or I was just scared that no one was going to want me. But I feel like now I’m more confident. I had an amazing 2024 and I think it’s time. I’ve done so much in TNA. I’ve done pretty much all there is to do. And I feel like if there was ever a time to move forward, it’ll be right now.”
